As an event planner on the central coast, I not only plan weddings, I sometimes have the pleasure of planning birthday parties. Recently a client needed some help planning her husbands 50th birthday party, which was held in their 'back yard', (when I say 'back yard' it was more like their beautifully landscaped acre side lot). We started off choosing Taco Roco, out of San Luis Obispo/Santa Maria, because Birthday Bill loves, loves, loves Mexican food. When we went down for a tasting, Dante, (catering manager) kept bringing out platefuls of food. When we were done tasting, we were stuffed!
The cake came from Gina's Taste of Cake, located in Santa Maria, and what a sight! A huge sombrero, with edible pom poms! The kids didn't know where to start!
Entertainment was provided by mariachi's, through AMS Entertainment.
Seating was two rectangular tables, pushed together, to create seating for 12 at each table. The outstanding table decorations included guitars, paper flowers, maracas, and even chicklet gum!
