A very special lunch

First, let me start by saying (typing) that I am not a professional photographer...no where close. I got myself a 'big girl' camera two years ago, and I still suck! I finally figured out that when I look through the lens, I use one eye, and I had lazer surgery on my eyes 8 years ago, (basically, you see different out of each eye) so...all this time, I think I'm taking a really good picture, get home and start to 'edit' (I use this word very loosely!) and all the pictures are blurry.....basically, I suck! That being said, let's start this post! I love my job! I get to make people happy, and what better job is the world is there? I had an email a couple weeks ago, from a woman in Houston, that wanted to do something special for her mom, (for Mother's Day), and her dad, (for..well...Father's Day). Since she lives in Houston, and doesn't know the area, she thought she'd email me to see if I could help. (Good call, Briget!) This is what we do, but sometimes, (most of the time) it's a bigger soiree. After talking with her, we decided to surprise them with a limo ride, with Elegant Image Limousine up to Adelaida Cellars, where they have a BEAUTIFUL hilltop venue (I've blogged about this place before, and it's magically....), and serve them a catered lunch provided by the most awesomest (is that a word?) Trumpet Vine Catering, all the while being serenaded by Manny Mestas Classical Guitarist..... Misty and David arrived at the hilltop, sooooo surprised, and touched, with NO idea what was happening. The two daughters (and their husbands) gave me a little card to read to them, and Thank God I didn't start crying. The whole gift was so thoughtful, and so much fun for all of us involved, as we normally don't get to be part of something so intimate. One of my most favorite moments of a wedding is right before the bride walks down the aisle, and I get to have a 'moment' with her....that's what this lunch felt like to me. I was able to have a moment with Misty and David, thanks to their most thoughtful sons and daughters, and for that, I am truly grateful.
The whimsical centerpiece is the work of Bloom-N-Grow Florists, representing Misty's frog collection!
