How do you define joy?

OH My! It's been over a month since I've posted! I'm sorry to the 3 people that read my blog, I've been incredibly busy (not really), and I will try to get better at what I call, "doing my homework" (blogging feels like homework sometimes)....
Anyhoo...the title of this post, "How do you define joy?"
It seems that a lot of wedding professionals have discovered that working in the wedding industry is a HUGELY joyful job, and that's why we stay with our jobs/passions/joys, because not only are we good at what we do, it is a truly joyful profession to be a part of.
I met my friend Danna for lunch the other day, and told her I wanted to interview her, for my blog.(She used to be a reporter for a local paper...really, no pressure there!) One thing I've learned about blogging...with the help of people who blog all the time..."Write just the way you talk...don't pretend to be someone you're not"...so here's my interview, interviewing a former newspaper reporter! HA!
(And it's not really an interview, it's just what I wanted to call it!)
The Joycup Co.
Danna Dykstra Coy, (rhymes with joy!), Owner
Danna has worked for the last 25 years of her life in what I call a very 'interesting' career, from being a crime reporter, and then moving into juvenille probation. While she made killer money, you can imagine the mental strain of a job like this. After one particularly mentally grueling case, she was having lunch with a fellow officer, and they looked at each other, and sighed....Her co-worker said, "I just wanna sell flowers"...and Danna said, "I just wanna sell chocolates"....
After working years at these mentally draining jobs, it was time to move on. She had started making the joycup 25 years ago, as gifts, for family & friends. It got to the point that these joycups were expected. "Yeah, thanks for the flowers, and the diamond tennis bracelet, Danna, but really...where's my joycup?" kind of expectation. One night, trying to figure out what she was going to do when she grew up, and making joycups frantically (because "Making joycups makes me happy" is what she said), she asked her husband, Norman...."What am I going to do now?"....he paused, (see this is where I'm making it up...I'm pretending it's a movie, and this is how the movie would play out...) he paused, the thunder clapped, the sun came out, and he said "Why don't you sell your Joycups?" ****Genius!!!!!
(Sometimes, it takes someone we love to utter the words out loud that we know all along)...and that, friends is the real story of how The Joycup Co. started.
She said she wasn't going to sue me for slander or libel, so I'm OK with all of this!
